Good Morning:

I have seen lots of material about denying access to IP numbers but wonder if it is possible to include a web address in the .htaccess file instead.

To explain Google have decided to link through to many of my images which I would like to prevent. These show up on a page with dozens of others with no apparent benefit to me and simply provides others with access to my images which they will obviously copy and use.

The address is: http://images.google.com/

Cheers

Dear Fang:

Followed your suggestion and added the suggested code to my .htaccess file, uploaded it and checked out one of the pages in Google that has been annoying me to find that it did not display any photos at all. Was hoping that it would display the "nohotlinking.jpg" image I had incuded in the code in .htaccess but was satisfied that no images were shown.

An hour or so later I tried to access my home page and go a error page. Tried the forum bookmarks and got the same result. Tried following a link from the main Google search engine and got an error. By this time the penny dropped and I deleted the inserted code from the .htaccess file, uploaded it and now everything is back to normal but I still have the same problem with www.images/google. com showing my images.

I don't think I could have made a mistake with the code as I only changed the extension on the "nohotlinking" image name from png to jpg.

Will have another run at it tomorrow but thanks for your interest and assistance.

Cheers

Jack
