Help with a w3 example please.

Hi, I'm trying to use this small w3school example and can't get it to work putting it on my own server. Its named with an .asp extension. For someone who knows about asp, does it work for you? http://www.w3schools.com/aspnet/showasp.asp?filename=demo_aspnetviewstate Thanks very much.

Oh great! But I'm confused. Thought asp needed .asp extensions??? Thanks for the help.

I tried the .aspx, didn't help. Anyone know how to get it working? Thanks.

All I know is I loaded it onto the server at work with the .aspx extension and it worked. There must be a problem with your server configuration that either doesn't recognize aspx extensions or cannot run them. I don't know what you need specifically. I believe we run IIS 5 at work.

Thank you very much, very strange. If someone else could test it in a regular XP computer then I'll know if something is wrong with my computer, because I have xp. I'd sure appreciate it. Someone let me know please, thanks!
