javascript problems

I know this is the wrong forum but I figured the people who program Java can help me fix mine. I am currently using Internet Explorer and Windows XP with a cable modem. I have the latest Sun Java software installed and enabled. I have tried anything you can imagine, and yet when I click on some java links nothing happens. I was at a friends house and the same links work fine. An example of this is: javascript:details('param.asp?D=7&ID=557'); when I click it, nothing at all happens. Worked fine on another computer. What can I do????

What you posted looks like javascript to me, not Java. Can we see the page in question? Also, to enable javascript in IE, you do this:

Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level > Then, scroll down most of the way until you see Active Scripting, and be sure it is enabled.
