I want to unsecure 500 PDFs quickly. They all have the same password.
Is there any software that will do this kind of batch processing?

Otherwise I'd look for PDF libraries in your language of choice. mameha1977 04-23-2007, 10:36 PM I have tried Adobe Professional and I think I found a bug: OK I have revisited this again and I think this is a bug. The passwords on my files are all the same, but sometimes the case changes from upper to lower. ie. Password is either: 1) example 2) EXAMPLE CASE 1: Use lowercase password to run batch job to remove security on all files. CASE 1 RESULT: All files that had lower-case password have security removed OK. Files with upper case password generate a 'file open' error and are not copied to target directory with security removed. Conclusion: this works perfectly. CASE 2: Use UPPERCASE password to run batch job to remove security on all files. CASE 2 RESULT: All files copied to target directory with no errors generated (despite many files having lowercase password). Files with lowercase password have security removed (despite password being wrong). Files with uppercase password cannot be opened unless you proivde the 'file open password'. Conclusion: 3 bugs. (1) incorrect password doesnt generate 'file open' error. (2) files have security removed even though password provided was wrong (3) when password is correct, files have security removed however a 'file open password' is added. webdeveloper.com
