of a .html and a .htm?

I hear them both but i don't know the diffrence

they're the same. .htm is an invention of Micro$oft (as far as I know) to comply with some old DOS rule of a 3-digit file extension.

Just be aware that typing "file.htm" into the address bar will not get you the file "file.html".
Whichever extension you choose to use, just be consistent and use the same one all the time. It's easier to remember that way.
