how can I open a database ??

Hello ppl,

I have a database file (.db) and it's about 500MB, it is a phonebook and I want to extrect the data from it but only the phones from my town.. the problem is I can't open it. I've tried with excel and I receive an error, I've tried with acces and i receive a databae driver error.. :(.. how can I open it??

Well that is not an access format let alone excel, access uses mdb excel uses xls (I think thats its format) I believe the format you are looking for is for DBase, but it could also be ibm's db2, I would look into those do a little reaserch
