Honestly, after this I'll bugger off and go flying. Much less complicated =P

Basically, what I need is a list of fonts (and their names as they'd be used in CSS) that will display on all (or almost all) users' computers.

Cheers-

Hey..don't worry..if you gotta question then by all means, ask.

Some fonts I know of are Ariel, Lucida Console(?), Helvetica, Comic Sans,Times Roman..there may be others but I cannot think of them yet.

But, always be sure to specify a default font, such as sans-serif, every time you define a font-family...

There's no such thing as a universal font and some users have no fonts at all. But you can get an idea of what fonts are out there by seeing http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/default.asp.

I have a list of 'web fonts' as follows: Verdana, Arial, Times New Roman, Courier New, Comic Sans MS, Arial Blackand Impact. I think the list came from a book and is not an authorative list.
some users have no fonts at all - hey, they can have some of mine. :D

Charles, I wasn't mocking anyone. FYI my mother was blind.
