I was creating a web site that included lots of images and my client did not want the pictures to be copyed. I was told once before that watermarking the images would help to prevent this. How could I go about doing this.
Thanks to anyone that my respond.

Stealing photographs from a website for private use (http://www.iwdn.net/showthread.php?t=6185) thread might help some. There are a couple of programs mentioned there, like Digimarc

Watermarking won't prevent people from being able to steal images. However, it will make it obvious where the image originated, as well as making the image itself less usable for other people.
Like the link above mentioned, for photos on one of my sites, I put a layer over top of the image containing the name of the site in white text with a black drop-shadow. Then lower the opacity of that layer to 5-10% depending on the image, and save it as a jpg. That way, the name of my site isn't obtrusive, but still readily visible and difficult for the average user to remove.

try picture shark. You can run batches of images and the price is right. All you need to build is the watermark image or file.
