PHP Enabled

Hi,
If a directory is php enabled does that just mean that you can use php in/on that directory or is there more to it?

I've never heard of hosts only having certain directorys enabled for PHP use... It would seem very odd to me if that were the case (if it could even be done). I'd think if the server has PHP installed, you could use PHP from anywhere on your site.

a forum I intend to set up required the directory to be php enabled.

Well, if the rest of your server supports PHP, you shouldn't have a problem, then.
