Software for htaccess????

Software for htaccess, do you know of any software that will encrpyt the password for me instead of me having to go to a website to get it done? This is just something that has been bothering me.

BTW, you know that you can telnet/SSH and run "htpasswd" command to create/add username/password to be accessed by htaccess-password-protected pages, right?

Im looking for software where I put the email and password and it automatically encrypts it, i dont know what you wrote above there. I know a site where you put in the info and it encypts for you, but I need to know if there is a software title out there. Does anyone know? And what about creating a html or whatever where they can ask for permission to come in, thru perl or whatever. Is this possible?
