Help needed please

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone can help me please?
I know its a common mistake but everything ive done to correct it hasnt worked. Im guessing theres a simpler solution.
I've sliced a psd image, added nav rollovers then taken into dreamweaver.
In dreamweaver then knocked out the image files to sit as bground images in order to add text content.
Im working on mac an safari has no troubles viewing this as it is, however in IE gaps occur between most of the image files see below

that is sometimes caused by spaces or BR's coded into the html.

One thing to consider is the bottom most gap you have will happen again if your text/copy is to long.

I typically do not keep or use the coding photoshop writes and I'll write my own and plug in the images.

thanks means alot...it was wierd that some browsers understood it an IE didnt. So from now on ill ignore the coding and piece the image together myself.
