hi, i dont know if i am in the right forum but i need help getting started on a basic homepage. i have downloaded the eversoft HTML editor but am completely lost. how do i go about typing in my homepage details or where do i find out how to use this software. all i keep getting is a screen with millions of different codes and i am lost. can someone point me in the right direction? thanks

First of all, you will want to learn HTML 4.01 (and after that, perhaps XHTML). You will also want to learn CSS, as CSS is what is (supposed to be) used for layout. http://www.w3schools.com is a fairly good resource to learn from, and you will also want to keep http://www.w3c.org in mind, expecially when it comes time to validate (http://validator.w3.org) your pages.
