Hi there,
I have an HTML document - It is for a trade show, there is a bunch of PDF's on the disk and an HTML page that comes up gives a description of each with a PDF link. In mozilla you click the link and PDF opens - in IE you click the link and it does nothing. I even tried making it a java popup, it just asks you to save the file.
Any ideas? - I am totally stumped!
Thanks

Sounds like you don't have the acrobat plugin installed in IE.

Actually that isn't the case... we have a copy of the html online as well as on the CD - If you go to the http version and click a link it opens right up (the acrobat plugin that is).
Thanks

I was/am experiencing the same problem. The reason seems to be that I used the "Mark of the Web" to prevent IE from showing the Information Bar when viewing local content: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms537628.aspx
The problem got then a bit stranger, I removed the MOTW from the page containting links to pdf files, and then I couldn't navigate to that particular page from other html pages on the cd, but the pdf files opened just fine. Maybe all this has something to do with the The Local Machine Zone Lockdown, beats me.
If anyone has any ideas about not having the information bar showing and still using motw, I would be more than happy to receive suggestions.
