I am a first year student studying web design, i have taken on voluteer work to get experiance while i study i have got a project that i am doing for a local charity. They want a static web site which is the easy part. Trouble is they want to edit and update pages them selves, main issue being they have no computer knowledge I suggested using a web CMS like Zomplog or Joomla but issue being i can not seem to get these programs to edit pages i have created outside of the CMS. As i do not want the web site to be a template they all seem to make it so you can edit only pages created using there own templates. If i have missed some kind of setting that will allow this please some one tell me if not any ideas how to get a simple CMS or WYSIWYG editer online for the none computer type person to update info on the web site?

You'll need to integrate the old into the new at some point, because you have to establish the editable fields for the software to detect. CMS isn't something you apply to an existing webpage.
