In my computer when i double click on a drive it opens up a search window instead of opening it up. I have to right click and then open to see contents. I'm running XP. Can t seem to figure out how to fix it. When I right click the first option I get it search and then open.
Once I'm within the drives and I have 6, then double click works fine.
Please help

Go into "Control Panel," then "Folder Options." Look around in there for a setting which might help.
Besides that, I'd run a virus & spyware scan on your computer.

Yea ive had the same problem before. Try this fix first, go to the command prompt in accessories of the program list and type the below in bold in exactly:
regsvr32 /i shell32.dll
If that doesnt work you'll need to edit the registry, il post soon about how you do that, just looking through the reg tree on my win box now to locate the key.
Edit: Hope the above step works, editing the registry does the same thing, its just the long winded way. Let me know how you get on with that command line.
