On many web sites, I am seeing the following code inserted in the HTML:-
-----------------------------------
<!-- ZoneLabs Privacy Insertion -->
<script language='javascript' src='http://127.0.0.1:3005/js.cgi?pcaw&r=13509'></script>
-----------------------------------

I can't find anything about this on the Zonelabs web site or anywhere else on the net.

Q. What is the "ZoneLabs Privacy Insertion"?
Q. What does it do?
Q. Is it free? Or sold?
Q. If I want it, how do I get it?

Thank you.
:confused:

The fact that it says "zone labs" leads me to suspect that this javascript is being inserted by firewall software on your machine. Do you have (for instance) zone alarm pro installed?

Yes - I have now looked at pages using a PC without ZoneAlarm installed, and it seems that the ZoneAlarm Pro software I use inserts this code at the beginning of every page viewed in the browser.

There's another bit inserted at the end.

Still - not sure what it actually does.

Thanks - Richard
