Personal Business Layout Design

Hey guys,
Before I posted here and started rethinking about my design process, I started work on a web layout. From the looks of it, it is a graphic heavy layout but I'd like to get some opinions on it's application. I can see why people say "don't overly concentrate on graphics cause the design will get too tedious". I can see that now (obviously)... Mabe I'd be better off using this layout in Flash instead of CSS/Table style page?

It's basically going to promote some of my musical work, services, maybe eventually have a store, and bio. Though I also think I may have separate site entities that may branch off this site.
