Could we have a site rule that large blocks of script that are posted are wrapped in appropriate tags or a seperate text area to post code examples to or a forced deleted of that post from the forum or dumped into a trash can thread because it is inconsiderate of the poster not to assist with this simple task to help the reading of code. They expect an answer, it helps the forum members to give that answer.

and those site tags are rendered hidden but then unhide to view code, it would tidy up the forum threads a bit... and if people want to copy the code in the example, a copy link to copy to clipboard.

Also a system to keep the original poster locked to posts theat they start UNTIL they mark the post as RESOLVED, another annoying thing that people do, this would help all other members identify open posts and posts to ignor.

And failing that, a negative feed back system that visuall indicates the users who constantly ignor these simple things to assist the masses.

It could be a simple email with a link for them to click rather than having to come back and login and find the post to mark it as resolved, as system link that the user can click, this would be one email that is sent regardless of preferences in the user CP.

Then as a counter measure, the members account should be locked until the millions of "Still open" threads are marked as resolved.. Limiting the number of active threads would also improve the site performance, stop the forum from being flooded with lots of requersts for help by one individual. Posts that are unanswred can be closed by the poster to open up anonther if the post allowance is exceeded.

That would be "no", but thank you for taking the time. This is a forum, we don't want to give the impression that it's Stalag 17.

Only if they've donated to Hilary's presidential campaign. (and we'd need concrete proof).

Surely the concrete would stop the bullets reaching their target.

A little S&M, B&D with your HTML & CSS? The only thing 'strict' should be their !doctype. And if I cannot for reasons of being tired, annoyed, employed or even offended by the OP's perceived lack of consideration to have posted their plea not using my personal favorite colors & fonts, -I can just not reply. -There is a similar device on our television set... it's called the channel changer. :D (or OFF button) :D :D

(But on your side too, I know what you're saying).
