www.prettylink.net

Its supposed to be a web service for turning any link on the web into prettylink.net/anything format.

I made a few weeks ago so it's not (yet :P) popular so it doesn't have a large quantity of links yet...

There's an title export, that exports a title from googleVideo,youtube,box.net and cnn.when you put a link from any of those sites and click the respective button it exports the title using ajax and stuff :)

You'll see :)

Issues I'm aware of:
-still battling with divs, cant really get them to work well 100% percent of the time
-the design is minimalistic as i think i t should be

So, are you copying this stuff to your site, or what? Isn't that copyright infringement?

Sorry but I dont understand what you mean, what am I "copying" to my site?
Technicaly speaking, prettylink uses redirecting to send you to the site of the link you asked for.No harm has been done to the site you made the link for...

Just like tinyurl, but you can choose your link instead of getting a randomly generated one.

Sorry - I just thought it odd. When I looked at the metadata, it had your website's information in it. But, on further investigation, I discovered that it's put there by vBulletin (this forum), not your web service.

You might delete "test" and "test2" from your list of links -- those were mine. :)

I'm digging the concept. Site is easy to navigate and straight to the point. Good job.

im not sure but it is probably good for seo, since you can pick your keywords,

maybe you should have archive pages,

get your ranking up and help others?

maybe create a text link code so people can link to your service

I
'm not quite sure what you mean, but I'm up for anything :)

Could you explain a little bit more about what you meant?

Since you can link your url to any specific term,

ie for my website http://www.livesimply.co.uk

i used the words Flat to rent in london (http://www.livesimply.co.uk)

This means google picks it up and boosts my search ranking.

now if you were to archive all the terms entered into your tool, then your tool would be indexed by google for all the relevant tools too, so you would get more traffic. which is good for you. This would be best if you could sort the links by their "category"

for your users they would get better search engine rankings theoretically.
