New to the forum, this is my first post. I'v been searching and SEARCHING for the best way to make a banner rotation system. All I want is for anytime the page is refreshed a diffrent banner appears. All of the code I'v come accross requires a long list of banner src's in your heading, or body. I don't know much about XML, but I came accross a mp3 player for myspace. all it was was a simple line of code to bring up the player that you put in the body (which was done in flash) and then that called up an XML file that you made in notepad.
So I thought, what a great idea. Simple line of code where you want the banners, and then a seperate XML file with the list of the banners. Makes thing much easier for adding new ones, and deleting old ones. So I searched and searched and finally came across this tutorial.
Now I can't figure this out for the life of me, and I was wondering if I could get some help. Or maybe pointed in the right direction for a better tutorial. here's the site:
