Hey guys...I am being picky, but hey, I only want the best ;) lol. So basically here is what I want to do: I have a website and the users will each have their unique pages for their accounts. So basically what I have now for the URL is something like "www.mywebaddress.com/profile.php?user=johndoe". Well, this isn't necessarily the most aesthetically please address to share with all your friends, so I was wanting to implement something kinda like YouTube does with their users.
On the YouTube account page, there is a link to your account page that is of the form:
www.youtube.com/user/johndoe
But when you click on the link, it takes you to your profile and the web address is "http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=johndoe". Obviously if you were wanting to share the address to your profile, www.youtube.com/user/johndoe would be easier to remember than http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=johndoe. So, basically I was wondering how this could be implemented. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
