Stop Audio on Focus Change

I am running a website which has a flash animation on the index page which has uses looping audio. I also have links from that page to music and video pages which popup in new windows for graphic reasons.

My problem is that when the new pages pop up, the audio is still running on the animation on the index page. Is there any way to have the audio automatically stop when focus is changed to a new browser window?

Any help would be appreciated.
