wondering if anybody knows if typo3 can be used with a standard html code or do i need to learn something new?

its a cms but i dont know wether i can use html to use it or if i have to change the whole website to somat else

For what aspect? With a system like that you normally do the templates, including HTML+CSS+CMS macros and then the content is entered through the wizards and the rich-text editor.
