Not the Usual Search Engine Question

I've come across a site that, in one corner, lists the phrases that people have typed in to various search engines that bring them to the site. You all know what I'm talking about: When you look at your logs, you wonder, "Hey, how did somebody type in 'Scooby Doo and shampoo' and get my site?'" They're hysterical! They show how search engines work, and show what people in the WWW are looking for at any given time. And they make you wonder where you posted something on Scooby Doo and shampoo...

In any case, does anybody have a script or PHP code that would post the search engine phrases that bring visitors? Perhaps the top 10, or the 10 most recent, or something? I've looked everywhere, but any Google search turns up a million "optimize your site for search engines" sites.

many stats packages provide this. AwStats has a particularly nice one.

I should explain better. I have AwStats, and it works fine. But I would like people visitng my webpage to see an automatically generated list of the five or 10 most recent searches. Right now, AwStats is on a separate page, protected by passwords. I'd like anybody to visit my site, at any time, and see what the most recent searches were, without me cutting and pasting every day.

This blog (http://www.planxi-mihi.org/), in the middle of the left-hand column, holds an example. (Already asked the webmaster, who got the code from someone else and otherwise doesn't know the technical part of it.)
