hello,
http://www.tagnet.org/chicagofilam/nav_standard.html
i am designing this website for my church. i do not want any scroll bars to appear when the page loads. i will be designing it for 800x600 views. i believe the width of the page is 780 and the height is 435 pixels. i determined this by trial and error.
anyway for the width problem, i was using percents-- table 100
and the td's were 118, 525, and 137 pixels(=780). i used this because these are the widths of the pictures contained in the columns. well i was receiving the horizantal scroll on the
initial page load but not if i refreshed, so i changed them to percents and it still does the same thing.
ok now for the vertical. i was using pixels for the first 2 tables
100,46 and the third i used 100%. but i am getting a space at the end of the page--after my table which looks funny because i have a background in one of the cells. i changed these all to pixels 100,46, 290( iknow it adds up to 436 ).
well i get the same result scrollbar on initial page load.
and on refresh no scrollbar.
please go to my page and look at the view source.

it should be straight forward.
i hope i made what i am looking for clear.
percents or pixels?
thanks craig
