Photo Gallery Help

I am looking to make a photo gallery within an editable area on a page from dreamweaver template.
I need 2 columns, one to hold the thumb nails and the other to hold the pictures. I want once you click the thumbnail the picture loads onto the column for pictures without going to a different html page. I tried to use layers but since they are in an editable region they were acting up. Anyone who knows an easy way to do this. Am not very good at coding so the simpler the better. A link to a forum with this will help too. Thanks everyone.

Unfortunately I'm not sure there are too many folks using canned templates around here. If the question was looking for help on coding this yourself, you'd have plenty of answers...
