hello,
im an amateur/student photographer getting ready for graduation, and hopefully will be starting my own business within the next two years.
looking too see what you think of http://www.keithslagerman.com
Interested in opinions on design, layout, photos, and i'm also interesting in load time/speed because Im hosting this on my own server and its hard for me to determine true downspeed. if anyones interested, im having a lot of success with a wampp setup. basically linux hosting on a windows machine. i had my doubts but its working great so far.
thanks!

I checked out your site and thought it looked very professional. As far as content loading:
-the main page loaded just fine
-the portfolio mechanism loaded quickly but the image it loaded took about 10 to 15 seconds (I have T1). This might a little long since even though the image is high quality I couldn't find a way to enlarge it to the full resolution without using the flash zoom feature which just cropped the images - perhaps use lower quality pictures on the smaller portfolio viewer
*when I clicked a second picture in your portfolio I originally thought the link didn't work because it was hard to see the loading circle in the back ground when the loading picture was black and white in your 'fine art' section (the other pictures loaded just fine) - perhaps use a colored loading circle in the black and white section
- the link to use the larger version was a very nice feature and allowed me to see the pictures very clearly
-Also, the pictures in your portfolio other than 'fine art' loaded much quicker (it took like a second) which was nice
Overall, my negative points were minor and I actually thoroughly enjoyed browsing your site.

im glad you caught the fine art pics loading slower. i mistakenly forgot to size them properly. fixed now.

I love the design. It did take a long time to load for me on a university connection. I'm not big on the frame. I think you would have a better Web site if you had a properly coded design.

interesting about the frame.
Im curious about what you mean about having "properly coded design".
Are you referring to the actual syntax of the site?

not so much about standards but how you achieve the design itself. you can a table full of images, or use html and css to get the same look but in a much better way.
