Need Metasearch/Searchbot Advice or Recommendation

I need a desk-top metasearch tool that can automate specific web searches for me.

There are five or six web sites that I consult at least every other day. They all list extremely varied products for sale and are updated at least daily. They each use their own unique multi-criteria search engines. (Think of them as being like eBay or Orbitz, though smaller). I want to be able to buy or build my own searchbot/metasearch to query these web sites once every day and obtain a list of new listings for the many items I am interested in. Basically I need something which can automate all the searches I now perform manually and report back (preferably as a single file) all the results.

I am aware of a number of programs which will automate multiple searches of the sort done on Google, etc., but the information I am looking for is not accessible through links. It seems like someone should already be selling software that can do this, but so far I have not discovered it. I would prefer something off-the-shelf and am prepared to write scripts if necessary, but would like to avoid having to have this programmed from scratch.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I should try?
