We have a url that we have set up to go to a site. When you type in the www in front of the url it goes to the site as desired. However, if the user does not type in the www it gives us the following error.

"Network Error (dns_server_failure)

Your request could not be processed because an error occurred contacting the DNS server.
The DNS server may be temporarily unavailable, or there could be a network problem.

For assistance, contact your network support team. "

Just like when you type in www.yahoo.com or yahoo.com, both entries should take you to www.yahoo.com.

I work on the business side so this may be a simple question but so far we have not been able to figure this out. Any ideas?

Your Web host is the one who sets this up on the server. It should be so you can access it either way, with or without the "www". As the message says, you will need to contact the host's support team.
