Hi,
I would like to be able to screenscrape a users choice of picture of amazon so basically what would happen is the user types in a product the script returns a picture of the product from amazon, could anyone give me any pointers on how to do this
Thanks

They throw a cover.gif over it so you cannot view it. Viewing the source of http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B000NKAXJ0 leaves me with a .01 image but that will not work right.

Providing information on how to steal other people's images will get whoever answers banned from the forum so I don't expect anyone who does know how to steal images will tell you how to do it here.

but if i am an affiliate and i am using the images to draw traffic to their website so their would be a link in the image that would send them to amazon, is this still banned.
Thanks

Not quite. If you are an affiliate you are probably using a third party site like cj.com (commission junction) and they provide code snippets as iframes for things like this. I'm not 100% sure, but usually affiliates are always provided ways to display products.

Why not just ask Amazon for code to display their images?
