I am in the process of getting acquainted with XHTML which, I understand, is the next step up in the evolution of HTML.
So I am curious is DrsamWeaver MX and the Adobe GoLive
code exclusively in HTML or does it use XHTML or both?

if you want to go beyond HTML then you should go with Dreamweaver MX.

I agree. MX is great. I just upgraded to MX Studio and I think it is fantastic.
I used to use Go-live, but changed...
Go for it.

XHTML has it's own guidelines for coding, which you can look into. Mainly I am referrring to MX as a development tool.
I still use HomeSite 5 if I need to hand-code for older sites I worked on before.
Good luck.
I can get you more info later.
Good luck.

Well I am reading that XHTML is being used more and more because supposedly it is better able to accomodate the variances in the major browsers...but if there are older browsers that only understand basic HTML then that would present a whole new set of "challenges".
So that is why I am curious if it would be in my best interest to upgrade to a web making program that can use both like DW MX or something.....I am not really too much into hand coding which is why I use DreamWeaver...
