download counter

hi all,



how would i create a download counter for a file called X.zip(example not the real name), also considering the fact that there are multiple downloadable scripts on the page.


if anyone could provide a script i would be most geratfull.

This has to be a server side application to do this.
JavaScript must not be a tol for this kind of counters.
