MP3/PMP site needs review

For the past month, I have been working on a site (http://www.playerbites.com/) of mine. Basically, the site provides news and reviews on portable media players. The site is not actually new, but has basically been re-launched.

Not all of the site is complete - some of the pages don't yet validate to compliant xhtml 1.0 transitional. Notably, the search functionality is not yet complete. However, a majority of the main layout is complete.

What I am wanting to know is if there is too much green incorporated into the site? Is there anything within the first couple of seconds of your visit to the site that you reckon needs changing?

Any tips and suggestions would be much appreciated.

*Please note: This is not a commercial site. The only advertisement we use is the top google banner ad which merely helps us cover our webhosting costs.*

I wouldn't say there is too much green. In fact, I liked the green better than I liked the tan background.

It seems a bit much for me -- I'm in a brightly lit room, so it's really "in my face." Also, it's not green for me, but aqua. It could be my monitor, but that's still something to take into consideration: possible differences in color display.
