Newbie needing help

Hi friends,
I have two pictures I'd like to make one. I have a picture of a man I'd like to put over a picture of a flag for a presidential candidate funny. The only way I can think to get him over the flag, though, is to use some sort of "Paint" application and trace around his body, then cut and paste. And I don't want to do that...is there anything that could make it look a little more...I don't know, artistic, rather than the pixilation caused by Paint?

It just depends on the skill of the person doing it. "Paint" is a very basic program with only the most basic of tools, but an experienced Photoshop user could use that same strategy, combined with said experience and better tools, and come out with a highly "artistic" and natural looking hybrid image.

I agree with Tweak. I love using Paint to draw, and I think back to when I thought Paint was the most useless program on the planet; it takes time getting used to.

If you have photoshop, though, it will be a lot easier. If you have a basic understand of layers, you will be able to erase around your presidential candidate with ease. [PS's eraser is also customizable, so you can fix it to not erase as sharply as Paint's.]

You can download a free trial of Adobe Photoshop (I forgot what the newest version is called. CS3?) It has a magic selector tool you can use to highlight and erase only the background around the man with ease. I love that program. Wish I could afford to buy it.
