Hey all,
Could you please give me your opinions of this build.. http://www.im4poker.com
It is a full inversion in black and dark colors so right off the bat some of you will hate it :)
Any comments are respected though as long as they can be of help. ty!

That is a rather high-energy page, isn't it? :D I sort of like it. A bit slow though (it is image-heavy). A few 'warnings' on validation but nothing too seriously bad. If I had more RAM it probably would scroll around a bit 'cleaner'. For me, scrolling the page makes parts of the content 'leave the bounding box' of it's image backdrop for a second or two.
You put in quite a bit of work here. For what it is, it is nice. I like that globe image at the bottom of the page... it is quite startling. :p

TY webjoel. Yes it is heavy and will be trimmed down and the code validated and stuff. It's a mess behind the scenes still, I have a quirky self taught design process lol. Lol we have the same cpu, I keep telling myself I gotta go get that extra ram.
TY for the kind comments on the graphics, I realize that they are very diff from the norm but I did spend a ton of time rendering them :)
**I cant take credit for all the art though, the giant screen on the bottom was purchased art, the rest mine :)

Holy smokes. I just tested it all out on firefox and it runs horrible. Why cant firefox clip anywhere near as smooth as IE? It runs slow and choppy on any dhtml.

Crikey that is some in-your-face site you got there! High quality images.
Its a bit choppy on my Firefox browser. The backdrop image glitches (is that a word?) when I scroll the page, but nothing too serious.
In Opera it does not have this problem. The backdrop behaves nicely.
I had a quick look at the tour. That is a pretty dramatic flash! High impact comes to mind. I like it.

I think if I was a poker player, I'd have joined on the spot.
I had no problems with the page loading. Menus and scrolling all appear to be working fine and I think the visual look is appealing. I wanted to take time to see what everything was. I particularly liked the little satellite.
