What language to make this type of site?

Hello, I am trying to make a community site where people can interact with one another, but I'm not sure what language is required to be able to do this. Basically, users will be able to make a single account on the website, and the site will contain: personal user page (blog, biography, upload photo), friendlist (users can add each other onto friend list), forum, messaging system (users will be able to send messages to one another, and chatroom. These features will only require the user to register for an account ONCE.

That one is done with PHP 5 although there is no specific language "required" to make that kind of site.

I found a similar website as to the one I want to make and it uses cold fusion. Is cold fusion a type of language? Thanks

Yes, it's similar in nature to PHP but it takes a non-free server.
