Hello,

I just made this website for a friend, I would appreciate any feedback on the design and coding. None of the content is anything to do with me, and I haven't got involved in it. The site uses joomla for its content management.

Any comments postive or negative are very welcome.

Thanks!

Hey I think I have enough, $.02 right.

Site looks clean and straight forward. My eyes went straight to the content then down the left side.

Something on the left stopped my flow....the tree has a low contrast that appears unnatural. You said that the content is not yours so this may not be your image.

Nice loading, it seems that only the content section loads when I select a menu destination. Is this done with PHP or JAVA?

I think the site could use a little dynamic content to really make it pop, but I know the client may not leave this decision in your hands.

Overall success!

using 600 x 800 resolution and firefox
using firefox firebug - validation errors 8 errors and 3 warnings
about life changing moment (and other articles)
- too much text without a break - may want to use bullets or short paragraphs
just my 2 cents

Thanks for the replies,

p808, thanks for the kind comments. I agree with you that the tree doesn't quite fit but the client is very keen on it. Have you any ideas for blending it in better? The content structure is the default structure for joomla so I didn't need to change much there. Also, what did you have in mind with dynamic content?

Navyfalcon, thanks for pointing out the errors. I also thought that the first paragraph should be split up, I will ask the client.

Anymore comments are very welcome

You could use the tree as a backgorund to the donations paragraph. alternatively use it in the header.

Roondog has some good ideas.

As far as dynamic content, pictures, flash, movement to break up the
words
words
words
words

be sure to get the extra $$$ for the dynamic though!

Hi,

I like your website, nice and clean, simple to use which is allways important. could do with some graphics to break up text, colour scheme is easy on the eye.

your missing blog keyword on title for blog page....

Well done so far,

The tree - is it to be a logo
stories and poems - no content
Still too much text without a break - mentioned before, also on other posts
Maybe some images or pictures will help
hope this helps
