I can personally recommend this...a very easy and foolproof program...the FTP prog that Pyro suggested above, that is...

WS_FTP LE is free, the pro version is a trial.

The Pro version is also very nice. That is what I personally use.

Also, in IE6 (and possibly other versions/browsers) you can FTP to your site by typing ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com.

1) An FTP program ships with Windows. Open up the DOS shell and type"ftp".

2) HTML Kit has built in ftp capabilities and a whole lot of other things that you willm wonder how you lived without. See http://www.chami.com/html-kit/.

WS_FTP LE can be free however you have to answer the questions correctly in order to qualify for the free version.

WS_FTP LE is shareware, available for free to educational users, government employees (U.S. local, state, federal and military) or to non-business home users onlyYou can use WS_FTP LE as long as you aren't using it for your business...

You can use it with a gui if you like, As my memory serves me if you type ftp://something into a folder it will open an ftp directory and I thought that used the same exe or atleast some of the same scripts but I could be mistaken. Even if it doesnt thats what I always do, open my ftp in a folder and have xp remember my login, its pretty darned easy I dont know why you would want cute ftp or any other client.

^^There are added features of some clients.

like what? I have only used separate ftp clients once or twice but I never noticed anything that made them worth buying or getting illegally.
