I used the tutorial at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/prog_download.html to create a progressive video player with a dynamic playlist. I used all of the source files that you can see on that page and only changed the .FLA file to look a little differently.
When I run the SWF everything looks and runs great, both locally and on my server, but as soon as I embed the player into a page, the playlist doesn't load. The SWF loads, but nothing appears in the playlist. I am using SWFObject to embed the SWF on the page, but I tried it using the Flash generated html as well to make sure that the problem was not in the way I was embedding.
