What/Where/Who would you recomend for Free Web Hosting?

It has to be banner free. I can deal with pop-up ads, but no banner ads.
Everything else, doesn't really matter.

www.geocities.com - webpages for kiddies... has SOME potential due to perl compatability + html and javascript editor + unlimited bandwidth + user friendly.... but it really isnt as powerful as some other sites like www.ionichost.com (requires FTP transfer that YOU must provide) which has MySQL database, high speed, Pop-under advertising, PHP compatability...not sure if it allows for perl but im pretty sure it has JS and it obviously allows HTML....

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of free hosting sites. I personally use and highly recommend http://www.dr2.net. Excellent featrures at a very fair price.

On their value plan, there is no month option. You would have to use their standard plan, which then costs $8 per month (or $80 yearly). But, the value plan is quite nice: 150 MB, 5GB transfer, and loads of features for $40 a year. More info can be found at http://www.dr2.net/?src=hosting
