I recently downloaded and installed IE6 and it is nice..however I also use a Firewall and Add Blocker too.

The problem, you ask? Well, it seems my IE won't surf to any sites unless I have my Add Blocker activated. This tends to be a problem as sometimes I access tutorial sites that utilize Javascript and sometimes I don't want to use my Add Blocker.

To compound the dilemma, I don't want to delete the Add Blocker or delete it from the proxy settings so has anyone had this problem before?

Uninstall Ad Blocker. If IE works then, reinstall. If not, reload IE again, then reinstall Ad Blocker.

You're welcome. Good luck. Everything related to IE installs & updates seems to be a pain in the *%&!

Well, I made it even easier for myself and simply restored IE5. IE6 was a free download from Microsnot and I can only assume it was a Beta version which are notorious for holes, glitches and all sorts of wonderful things to have "fun" with.

So I guess I will have to buy IE6 and hope that I will have better luck...maybe
