flash or gif banner

hi there i spent 3 days creating a nice flash banner for my site. However many of the visitors are unable to view this due to a lack of the plugin. Nor can they install the plugin on their netwok. so my question is this.

Is there a script that will detect if a user has the macromedia plugin installed then either dispaly my flash banner or if not show a gif or jpeg banner instead.. thanks..

take a look at thi slink..it detects flash and forwards to appropriate page,wha tyou can do is replace the flash embed/object tag with gif img tag
