I would like to see a con (like quakecon) that was all about webdevelopement. Contests and all that!

For a minute there I thought (from the title) you might be making accusations. :O

There's actually quite a few developer conventions and such. I see them posted on some of the sites I visit. They're usually pretty specific, though. http://php.net for example, seems always to have something about a PHP conference somewhere.

Looks like they've moved all their conference announcements off of the front page and put them all on a specific page for PHP conferences (http://www.php.net/conferences/).

Also they are like a half day too. I want a week long one and about all sort of stuff and a BYOC (bring your own computer) area.. Oh and have it in Dallas or Fort Worth..heheheh.. =)

My wife is a Techinical Writer and they have an annual convention, held in a different major city every year.. I could go, --and now that I have learned enough html, d-html, css and graphic design, -I might even have something to contribute! I mean, hey, -the 'Trekkers' have a "Klingon Boot Camp" where they meet and for whole week, speak only Klingonese! (The only 'Klingonese' I know I gleened from my days working(volunteering) at Sci-Fi contentions is how to say "Your mother has a smooth forehead!" which is a vile, vile insult to their race... :eek: ).
