Have a concept but not sure on the language.

I'm just started working on a site that probally has a good 200 or so pages with things like products and photos. I need to add links to every page on menus of the site. The entire site is coded in html and each page has about 2 menus on it.

What I need is a menu I can put in the page that references to a single file. so to change 20 menus I only need to edit one file. I realize its either going to php or python to do this. Anyone got any Ideas how I could pull this off?

I'm familiar with php but I've never had to rebuild a site into it I've only edited small issues. I've been meaning to learn the language anyway so this will probally be the perfect project.

Oh and just an FYI html frames really isn't an option with this site.

You could build a Javascript that can built the menu from a function call. If you need to have specific product or photo data per page, simply load it before the function call as a variable (that is, if you don't want to use the more elegant, include option).
