Hi,
I am selling links on my website via a third party provider. I earn roughly 200 USD/month on my tiny website. (Enough to pay my hosting fees.) But selling links screws with search engines and is bad for the web yada-yada; and I want to stop helping this business. However I still want the money. (I still have to pay for hosting, you know.)
Can anyone recommend a good alternate to selling links? Preferably non-intrusive.
(Google AdSense is not an option.)

Probably not what you're looking for, but how could you have a "tiny website" and pay anything near $200/mo to host it? Maybe our definition of "tiny" is different, but I pay $4/mo or less for what I would call "tiny" sites. That's noise level cost.

ya I gotta admit that tracknut has a major point there... Tiny and $200 USD for hosting do not go hand in hand!
If your looking to run the site as a business you have a number of things to consider.
1. what comes first the "yada-yada" of the internet's health and wellbeing or your bottom line?
2. how much of a hassle would it be to move the site? I see the link in your signature says that site will be down for a week or so... that should/could give you more than enough time to move a site and fix most bug's.
3. Maybe there are other ways to make money on your site... what options do you have? I'm sure you've kicked something around for ideas what do you have?
Ultimately myself or the other members here will give you advice and our 2cents till were blue in the face but you have to decide how to best run your site. I'll give you one bit more of advice that might help... I know after being told it, I kicked my rear in to gear. it may be to much american slang for you to fill in the blank and if so PM me and I'll fill ya in.

Agreed. I pay less than half that for a year's worth of hosting for a huge image and multimedia heavy website.
One of the things you may have done - I know, because I've done it, too - is to overestimate how big your website will become when selecting your web hosting package. And, as a consequence, you overbuy for storage space and all this scripting capability that you really don't need because you think, "Someday, I'd like to try that...."
Buy for your capabilities TODAY and the near-future >> like within the next year, tops. That's it. You can always add or upgrade your package when you're actually ready to do it. It's so much cheaper that way!

I have seen and analyzed many hosting companies. Here is the one that I have always recommended to my clients. The prices are excelent and the features are many. Can't go wrong with this one.
