designing a forum

okie pokie hello i dont really know a huge amount about html but i do want to learn but ... i play final fantasy XI an i would like to create a decent forum where our linkshell members can register an post an things alike ... any help in accomplishing this would be great :)

Just download an existing forum software, such as PHP BB, Invision Board, or VBulletin.

Ryan's advice is pretty much your only option. It takes a good deal more than HTML knowledge to write your own forum. There are plenty of good free ones out there that you can just download and set up on your server.
