html emails

how do i use html in emails? i've looked around and found a few templates n stuff,but i paste the code into the body of the email and it gets received as code.do i have to insert the file in somehow or what? thanks for any replys

Unfortunately this is largely contingent on the target inbox. The person receiving the file has to enable HTML emails specifically if they want to receive that sort of email. It's best not to rely on being able to send HTML, or if you're wanting to start a news letter, you produce a text only one for people to sign up for if they prefer that.

Use php and create a mime e-mail so that it gets sent both as html and plain text
