I'm building a site for a client. They want an integrated payment system so it doesn't look like you're going off site to pay. They also want a shopping cart, tangible items and subscriptions. They would like to have customers add tangible items and subscriptions to the same cart (but if it doesn't have this feature it's ok). We finally decided on PayPal Payflow Pro with recurring payments. It's $290 to setup and it's $90 a month. When I went to sign up for it I was asked what my current payment processor is. But I thought that's what we're paying PayPal for. I've tried calling and emailing paypal with no response. Has anyone used Payflow Pro before? Is it hard to integrate? I've used PayPal's IPN numerous times. Are there any other integrated payment systems out there? Not 2co, it needs to be integrated. Thanks!

Take a look at LinkPoint's services. Between the API and the Cart, you should have everything that you need (recurring CC only). Both are easy to use and will end up costing your client a lot less than PayPal will - if I had to guess, I'd say $175 setup + 55 / mo max.

BTW, I have built a payment system using the LinkPoint API. The current system works very well, and the base (i.e. simple form and processing) took less than 10 hours to set up.

Finally, PayPal is asking that question because people may currently be accepting credit card payments using a company (i.e. First Data) or their local bank. Since your client is not processing, you'd select none or n/a.

Hope this helps,
