My favorite out of those is ham. I really don't now how to explain why I like it the best.... My second favorite is turkey; turkey is a good cold cut.

I just don't like salami, bologna, pepperoni, and cheese.... Well, an exception for cheese is pizza, of course. Wink Pepperoni is too strong for me... my nose ceases up whenever I can smell it... Bologna and salami just look horrible....

I don't like raw cheese, either... all types and forms of it....

What about everyone else? What do you like for cold cuts?

For sandwiches, beef cotto salami is by far my favorite. Now, if I'm going to grill it (but is it still cold cuts?), ham and cheese takes the prize. Other than sandwiches, say just a snack of cold cuts by themselves, I like pepperoni ... the ones I have made with the deer and elk I hunt.

Tough poll, Eric. I like them all. :)

Yes, I specifically made this thread about cold cuts to avoid the issue of "what if I... fry, grill, microwave, etc.". I'm talking strictly about when they're cold, un-warmed by the customer. Hope this makes it more clear. :)

Great poll, Eric!

Now, for the one cold cut to rule them all... *drumroll*....

It's not quite ham - it's waaaay to good to be just ham.

Where's the beef? My favorite cold cut is roast beef, though I seldom have it because I try to watch my cholesterol intake (plus it ain't cheap). A pile of roast beef, some slices of provolone cheese, fresh green-leaf lettuce and tomato slices on lightly toasted sourdough bread and finished of with a healthy slathering of horseradish sauce . . . excuse me, I have to go wipe the drool off of my chin.

Pepperoni, Balogna, Salami all give me very bad heart burn, even the smallest slice!

Turkey is often too dry, Ham has both texture and retains its moisture well making it a nice eat.

Cheese aka bung-ole as they call it in the (uk) army does exactly that, bungs me up, makes passing a cinder block far easier option...

Other... not sure I like the sound of that, it could be a mix of 101 meats and cr@p...

Wow... I didn't think a thread about cold cuts would be liked! Thanks! :D

Although I neglected to put in tuna, roast beef, and PB&J. I didn't think PB&J was exactly a cold cut, but someone made the point "It's not heated, and it can be cut" so that's that. :p They proved their point well.

So, as of right now, Tuna and PB&J fall under the "Other" category.... Help me out if there are more....

Edit:

Oh, I forgot to mention.... I have dug up all the threads I want to. Therefore, instead of digging up ancient ones, I will make new ones here and there, like I did with this one. I will keep my title "The Thread Digger", though. It'd kinda neat. ;)
