?uestion about a particular win xp tweak

Someone at my old job told me about this tweak and i did it and it worked but i have since formated my computer and cant find it on the web. It had to do with you being able to leave your computer on more than 2 days without restarting it. The person told me it would be better if you had a gig or ram or over but there was a setting he had me go and turn off does anyone know what the setting is???


PS: is there any more speed tweeks beside the (gpedit.msc) one that works good for xp????

I have three XP Pro machines running in my home office. All of them are left on all the time. I usually reboot them about once a week or whenever I notice stability problems. XP seems to have the feature you are looking for built in. As far as tweaks go, x-setup (http://www.x-setup.net/) and tweakui (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx) are the two that I have used. Tweakui is much lighter-duty and i'm not sure if it has any speed tweaks. X-setup does have some "speed-up" features and is a very nice program if you have use for it.
